Opera Ballet VlaanderenBrand identity
2017

Opera Ballet Vlaanderen was created in 2014 through the merger of Opera Vlaanderen and the Royal Ballet of Flanders. Operating in both Antwerp and Ghent, it stands as the largest cultural institution in the Flanders region.

With the recent appointment of Artistic Director Jan Vandenhouwe and the collaboration with Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, the ballet's artistic director, OBV aims to enhance its reputation by developing innovative and cohesive programs.

In the words of ballet director Larbi Cherkaoui, "dance is inherently transient, with one movement flowing into the next, capturing a fleeting glimpse of reality. Transience serves as a catalyst for new possibilities."

The design of the OBV logo symbolises movement, change, and the ephemeral nature of performance art, reflecting the organisation's commitment to providing audiences with ever-evolving and exceptional experiences through the continuous creation of fresh ideas and outstanding productions.
