EDPBrand identity
2022

EDP is currently the 4th largest renewable energy producer globally. With a goal to achieve carbon negativity by 2030, a new brand identity has been developed to signify their dedication to their business commitment.

The logo draws inspiration from the dynamic movement in energy generation through wind and hydraulic turbines, symbolising its mission to drive a circular, generative, and sustainable economy.

The logo design captures vibrant movement and depth in animation with a simple rotation. The colour palette is influenced by the beauty of nature and its phenomena, aiming to raise awareness about the importance of preserving our planet.

The logotype is crafted using a contemporary humanist typeface, FT Polar, designed by Frostype. The subtle contrast in the logotype brings movement, energy, and distinctiveness to the brand.
